We are seeking an experienced OT Engineer with expertise in network and infrastructure design, implementation, and maintenance. As an OT Engineer, you will play a critical role in guiding our product evolution in terms of network and infrastructure capabilities and will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that our solutions meet customer requirements.

The role requires specialized expertise in implementing initiatives related to product innovations, system deployment inside customers infrastructure, new business opportunities related to OT and CyberSecurity, and extraordinary maintenance. The successful candidate will interact with Project Engineering, Operations, IT, R&D and other Supply Chain units.

Responsibilities

- Design and implement network and infrastructure solutions, including data centers, Wi-Fi networks, and communication protocols, while considering industry regulations and standards related to OT systems.

- Troubleshoot OT network and system issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure system availability and reliability.

- Provide expertise in industrial automation, IT/OT integration, and cybersecurity to guide product evolution and meet customer requirements.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, sales, and operations, to identify customer requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.

- Communicate with customers to understand their network and infrastructure needs and provide guidance on how to implement solutions that meet their requirements.

- Manage and configure routers and switching infrastructure.

- Utilize automation and scripting tools to reduce manual efforts and optimize network IP addresses.

- Promote a "security by design" approach by leading projects aimed at deploying OT security platforms. Ensure that cyber security policies and procedures comply with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 27001 and ISA/IEC 62443.

- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that the OT cybersecurity platform is operating optimally. This includes coordinating proper maintenance services and upgrades with external service providers and colleagues in plants.

- Conduct or oversee security assessments of the OT environment, identify vulnerabilities, perform risk analyses, and support in prioritizing and defining remediation measures.

- Develop technical documentation and provide 3rd level technical support on data network related issues. 

- Provide technical support and training to internal teams and external customers on OT networks, protocols, and assets/devices, and their engineering solutions.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in OT system design, implementation, and maintenance, with a strong knowledge of OT technologies, protocols, and standards.

- Strong understanding of OT networks, protocols, assets/devices, and their engineering solutions is required.

- Proficient in designing, configuring, and implementing Data Center Networks, including QoS configuration

- Skilled in managing and configuring routers and switching infrastructure from systems such as Cisco, Juniper, HPE/Aruba, and others.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot OT network and system issues.

- Experienced in remote system administration, protocol configuration, and network troubleshooting.

- Additional experience in industrial automation (manufacturing/processing/warehousing), IT/OT networking, IT/OT cybersecurity, IT/OT system integration, industrial networking, or Industry 4.0 would be beneficial.

- Possession of a professional certification such as CCNA and CCNP is a plus.

- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team environment, with fluency in both written and spoken English and Italian.

- Willingness to travel as needed to provide technical support and training to internal teams and external customers.
