Position Description
The Senior Site Manager – Automation works within the Field Department of E80 Group and is responsible for managing all on-site logistics system installations.
You will oversee and execute commissioning activities while working closely with the customer and leading internal teams on site.
This role requires strong project management skills and a strategic mindset to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in compliance with contractual quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Plans and develops detailed schedules for all aspects of the installation, implementation, commissioning, and final testing activities performed at customer sites.
- Leads and coordinates installations of medium-high to high complexity while ensuring lean execution.
- Monitors and optimizes project costs and ensures compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, and the approved budget.
- Maintains clear, timely, and effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
- Manages project changes and scope modifications in collaboration with the Project Manager/Field Coordinator and the customer.
- Coordinates the resolution of non-conformities with Engineering, Supply Chain, and other cross-functional teams.
- Ensures formal customer acceptance of project milestones and final system acceptances by completing all required testing and documentation in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Promotes and ensures compliance with all site health and safety requirements, working closely with the company’s Health & Safety team (RSPP equivalent) to maintain a safe work environment.
- Provides timely and accurate reporting, ensuring all required documentation and project handovers are completed and properly filed.
- Facilitates knowledge sharing by cross-training other Site Manager team members through shadowing or mentoring.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a technical diploma with relevant, proven experience.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, resource planning software, AI/Copilot and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities.
- Vision and experience to work independently with limited supervision.
- Strong customer focus and relationship management skills.
- Ability to think strategically with a systems-oriented mindset.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work effectively in dynamic environments and adapt to changing project conditions throughout the project lifecycle.
- Willingness to work flexible schedules or shifts, as required.
- Willingness to travel up to 90%.

- Compensation: Starting salary of $100,000 annually (FLSA Exempt), based on experience and seniority.

- Travel: Up to 90% travel. Typical rotations include 3 weeks on-site followed by 1 weekend at home, or 4 weeks on-site followed by 1 week working from the office in support of the project, depending on business needs.
