Position Description
The Sales Engineer, part of the Sales Engineering & System Analysis USMCA department, is responsible within E80 Group for developing and quoting solutions end-of-line applications or more generally for the handling of products both in production facilities and distribution centers. This role sits at the intersection between the commercial and technical-production functions within E80.
- Designing original, high-performance solutions with a high probability of success in the competitive market, in compliance with E80 standards
- Collaborating with the commercial area in identifying the needs of the end customers
- Designing the system based on the flow of goods and customer needs, defining the correct size and selecting the E80 products needed to create it
- Quoting solutions and drafting the relative commercial offer
- Documenting the planning decisions, calculations required to correctly size the proposed machines and the control philosophy adopted
- Providing technical support to the Area Manager in submitting the offer to the customer
- Requesting third-party commercial offers for integration in the project; evaluating and negotiating the supply in collaboration with the purchasing office
- In the event of sale, collaboration with the E80 business division in order to create the necessary internal documentation for technical and production entities
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or closely related field)
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in electrical-mechanical or software development
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Proficiency with the following software packages: AutoCad 2004 or newer, Microsoft office
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings
- Customer orientation
- Strong analytical and communication skills
