Position Description

 

Own the performance and reliability of E80’s automated intralogistics systems at a customer site.

You are not just supporting equipment—you are the on-site owner of a live automation environment, responsible for uptime, recovery speed, and continuous system improvement. You operate at the intersection of Service, Reliability Engineering, and Project execution, directly impacting customer production.

This role combines hands-on technical work with operational leadership in a high-impact, customer-facing environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

1. System Ownership & Performance:

  • Own system uptime, throughput, and operational stability across all E80 technologies onsite.
  • Lead troubleshooting and recovery efforts for complex automation systems (LGVs, robotics, ASRS, controls).
  • Identify recurring issues and drive root-cause resolution.

 

2. Customer Partnership

  • Act as the primary technical and operational interface with the customer.
  • Lead performance reviews, provide insights, and recommend system improvements.
  • Translate operational needs into service, upgrade, and reliability actions.

 

3. Execution & Coordination

  • Plan and lead maintenance, field service, and retrofit activities.
  • Coordinate E80 resources (resident engineers, specialists, spare parts, remote teams).
  • Ensure strong alignment across Service, Engineering, and Project stakeholders.

 

4. Continuous Improvement

  • Drive system optimization initiatives (reliability, efficiency, automation performance).
  • Identify opportunities for upgrades, modifications, and preventive improvements.
  • Support implementation of engineering and software enhancements.

 

5. Technical Leadership

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting (electrical, PLC, software, mechanical systems).
  • Maintain and improve system configurations (LGV navigation, controls, automation settings).
  • Train customer teams and junior engineers.

  • Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and incident recovery speed
  • Throughput and operational performance improvements
  • Preventive maintenance compliance

Qualifications

 

1. Required:

  • 3+ years in automation, intralogistics, or industrial equipment environments
  • Hands-on experience with automated systems (PLC, robotics, LGV/AGV, controls)
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in customer-facing technical roles

 

2. Preferred:

  • Background in reliability engineering, maintenance, or system optimization
  • Familiarity with SAP, Salesforce, or service management platforms
  • Certifications (CMRP, CMRT, or similar)
  • Experience leading or coordinating technical teams

  • Compensation: $75,000 – $90,000 (FLSA Exempt), based on experience and seniority.
