Position Description

 

E80 Group is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a highly automated intralogistics system within a 24/7 manufacturing environment at our Customer site in Marion, NC. This role is responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the automated system, while leading a team of 10+ engineers and technicians.

The Operations Manager will act as the primary onsite leader and customer interface, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with performance targets.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Site Leadership

  • Lead, manage, and develop a team of Operational Engineers, RAEs, and maintenance technicians
  • Drive accountability, performance management, and team development
  • Build a strong culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement


24/7 Operations Management

  • Own system performance across all shifts in a continuous operation environment
  • Manage scheduling, escalation, and shift coordination
  • Ensure operational continuity and rapid issue resolution


Maintenance & Reliability

  • Oversee preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance activities
  • Ensure timely execution of maintenance plans and minimize downtime
  • Drive reliability improvements and long-term equipment performance


Performance Management

  • Monitor KPIs including uptime, maintenance compliance, and system efficiency
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Deliver regular performance reports and improvement plans


Customer Leadership

  • Serve as primary point of contact with Customer leadership onsite
  • Lead weekly and monthly operational reviews
  • Ensure alignment between system performance and customer expectations


Service & Intervention Coordination

  • Manage service interventions, ticketing, and escalation processes
  • Coordinate with E80 technical support teams and engineering resources
  • Ensure efficient resolution of technical issues

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-10+ years of experience in maintenance, operations, or automation leadership roles
  • Background in manufacturing, distribution, or highly automated environments
  • Experience managing teams in 24/7 or shift-based operations
  • Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and automation systems


Key Skills:

  • Leadership of technical teams in high-performance environments
  • Troubleshooting and diagnostic capability (electro-mechanical systems)
  • Data-driven decision making and KPI management
  • Root cause analysis and continuous improvement methodologies
  • Strong communication and customer-facing leadership skills

Compensation: $95K - $120K DOE (FLSA Exempt)
