Position Summary
E80 Group is seeking an Operations Manager to lead a highly automated intralogistics system within a 24/7 manufacturing environment at our Customer site in Marion, NC. This role is responsible for the overall performance, reliability, and continuous improvement of the automated system, while leading a team of 10+ engineers and technicians.
The Operations Manager will act as the primary onsite leader and customer interface, ensuring operational excellence and alignment with performance targets.
Key Responsibilities
1. Site Leadership
- Lead, manage, and develop a team of Operational Engineers, RAEs, and maintenance technicians
- Drive accountability, performance management, and team development
- Build a strong culture of ownership, safety, and continuous improvement
2. 24/7 Operations Management
- Own system performance across all shifts in a continuous operation environment
- Manage scheduling, escalation, and shift coordination
- Ensure operational continuity and rapid issue resolution
3. Maintenance & Reliability
- Oversee preventive, condition-based, and corrective maintenance activities
- Ensure timely execution of maintenance plans and minimize downtime
- Drive reliability improvements and long-term equipment performance
4. Performance Management
- Monitor KPIs including uptime, maintenance compliance, and system efficiency
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Deliver regular performance reports and improvement plans
5. Customer Leadership
- Serve as primary point of contact with Customer leadership onsite
- Lead weekly and monthly operational reviews
- Ensure alignment between system performance and customer expectations
6. Service & Intervention Coordination
- Manage service interventions, ticketing, and escalation processes
- Coordinate with E80 technical support teams and engineering resources
- Ensure efficient resolution of technical issues
Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in maintenance, operations, or automation leadership roles
- Background in manufacturing, distribution, or highly automated environments
- Experience managing teams in 24/7 or shift-based operations
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance and automation systems
